Meet JeffRey Fjeld, DPD
In 1997 Jeff began work in the denture laboratory industry as a member of his family’s business, fabricating dentures and partials for local dentist. His father, a Certified Dental Technician for over 25 years, trained Jeff in his techniques from standard custom dentures to implant supported hybrid prosthetics to partial design. Conventions, classes and seminars were used to learn about the newest techniques, latest materials and up-to-date equipment. The goal of striving for better smiles was instilled.
When Jeff’s dad passed away, Jeff took over the technical part of the business. After a while, Jeff realized there was more to just fabricating dentures on a model. He wanted to offer the process from beginning to end to clients and decided to become a Denturist. In 2008, Jeff began the educational process to becoming a denturist. As a Denturist, it really doesn’t get any more custom. Denturists take the impressions, set up the teeth and try them in the patient to find the perfect fit and the emerging smile.
Jeff graduated from Bates Technical College, the only college in Washington State to offer a denturist training program. While a student Jeff saw numerous patients while maintaining his denture laboratory – both of which have proven to be benefits to his clients today.
As a patient you play an active role in the discussion of what you desire for your new dentures or partials. You are in the hands of a professional who specializes in the making of removable prosthodontics and completing your smile.
